Virtual guided tour Nepal
Ready to discover Nepal from the comfort of your home?
Travel virtually to Nepal and support a local host

Since the outbreak of the world COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, tourism to Nepal has been on hold. And it is to be expected that it will last until 2022 before Nepal will welcome tourists again. It means that many people who are working in the tourism sector in Nepal have lost their jobs. Usually no job means: no income. Our 5 staff members are now working  and earning 20% of their regular income.

Since June 2020 we offer virtual tours and classes to travelers who want to learn more about the nature and culture of Nepal. This gives our staff the chance to generate income for their family, to share their knowledge and passion with you and to develop new (virtual) skills.

Virtual tours and classes

Travelers and our local hosts can meet each other live during a virtual tour or class. Walk on the countryside with our guides Manmohan and Balkrishna and experience the Tharu way of farming and living.  Learn about the tiger his habitat and other wildlife in Bardia National Park. You like to bring the local food flavors of Nepal into your home? Join a  cooking workshop ‘dal bhat’ (the national rice dish of Nepal) or another dish.

During all the tours you have live contact with your local host and you can ask all your questions directly. The experiences of the participants are very positive. “It felt like I was in Nepal” is a frequently heard feedback from the participants.

Virtual travel is a new way of traveling not only during corona time, but also in the future. It gives you the opportunity to learn more about this Himalayan country and it helps you to dream about and plan your future trip to West Nepal.
